Two-Piece Construction

The commode is also beautifully designed to complement different bathroom styles. It comes with a separate bowl and tank that makes installation quick and straightforward. The unit is not as heavy as a one-piece toilet; thus, one person is enough to install it. Also, you won’t have to replace the whole toilet with one-piece toilet models in case of a damaged bowl or tank. Also, its siphonic-designed Trap way uses less water while flushing.

With three colors to choose from, this is a toilet that will match most bathroom themes, as you can easily select a color that you like.

Round or elongated bowl?

The American Standard Titan two-piece toilet comes with a round bowl. Hence, this toilet can easily fit in compact bathrooms and powder rooms. It occupies less space when compared to the larger elongated bowl toilets. The only challenge is that some individuals will find this toilet to be uncomfortable.

EverClean Surface

Keeping the toilet clean is not easy as some models stick to waste while others don’t. The American Standard Titan toilet features an EverClean surface that keeps it clean most of the time. Due to this, you won’t have to regularly clean the toilet, like some market models. The EverClean surface prohibits the development of stains and odor-causing bacteria on the toilet bowl. As a result, mold, mildew, and other particles won’t stick on the surface of the toilet.

Industry-leading flush system

Equipped with the industry-leading 4-inch piston-action accelerator flush valve and 3/8-inch trapway, you will be happy to learn that this toilet delivers a powerful flush. So, you can always count on it to push down waste efficiently and quickly. It is rated with a MaP rating of 1000g, which means that it can move up to 2.2 lbs of waste smoothly. Besides, it can push a 70% larger mass than a standard toilet.

What’s more surprising is that it utilizes 1.6 GPF, which is slightly higher than the American Standard Optum Vormax 1.28 GPF commode. Even though it doesn’t meet EPA WaterSense targets for water consumption, the toilet has an efficient flush and is better than older toilets that use 3.5 gallons per flush.

Comfort height

The height of the toilet from the floor to the rim is one of the most overlooked features when picking a toilet. This is a vital part, and all toilet buyers should consider it. Some toilets are comforting to some people, while others are not.

The American Standard Titan toilet comes with comfort or a right-height bowl. As a result, users of the toilet will have ample time to sit down or stand up. However, the toilet is perfect for adults and those with disabilities, but not for kids.

Slow-close seat

Another disturbing feature of most standard toilets is featuring low-quality seats that slam. This commode comes with a slow-close seat that doesn’t bang. Therefore, you can relax knowing that your toilet seat will close slowly without alerting people around you when you leave the toilet. Also, the price is lower than the American Standard Vormax Plus ultra-High efficiency toilet.

Is Titan 1.6 GPF toilet ADA-compliant?

Since it meets all ADA requirements, this toilet can be installed in both private bathrooms and public restrooms. It has a left-hand chrome trip lever, a comfortable design, and ADA height. In short, it can serve almost all people without any difficulty.

FAQ

Question: What is the difference between a round bowl and an elongated bowl?
Answer: The difference between elongated and round toilets is in size. Around the bowl, the toilet is smaller in size when compared to an elongated bowl toilet. Because of this, most round bowl toilets are installed in powder rooms and tiny bathrooms. In short, they are usually embraced by people who want to save space in the bathroom.

When it comes to comfort, elongated bowl toilets are the most comfortable as they deliver additional sitting space. So, people of different sizes and heights will feel more comfortable in elongated bowls than in round bowls.

Question: Is the warranty vital when buying a toilet?
Answer: Of course, yes. Toilet brands like Toto and Kohler commodes provide a short-lived warranty when compared to American Standard. A warranty is crucial as you may receive a cracked bowl or tank. In some cases, the wrong toilet bowl or tank may be shipped. And if the toilet doesn’t come with a warranty, filing a claim can be challenging. Hence, you should always consider buying a toilet that has a warranty.

  1. You keep saying this toilet has a smaller round bowl but the photos and general description of the Titan show it to have an elongated bowl. Very confusing. Which is acccurate round or elongated?

Just purchased an American standard titan commode. Got it installed and it wouldn’t flush right. Wouldn’t take the water out of the bowl. Supposed to flush golf balls but won’t even remove the water. Returning it tomorrow!
The only thing that it had that I liked was an insulated tank.

  3. Bought 2 american standard titan toilets on 3/17/2022. Had them built and installed by a professional plumber.both leak down the tank bolts. I had the plumber back 3 times and counting. I got new bolt kits from american standard, both are still leaking. I have spent more money on plumbers bills and not done yet than i payed for the toilets. I have made a terrible mistake

  4. Purchased a Cadet 773AA.051.020. Toilet is OK but the workmanship is NOT up to par. the hole for the inlet valve was too large and chipped. The gasket was wrinkled during factury installation. Needless to say it leaked.

  5. Installed new titan toilet on 1/13/2023. Had a leak at bottom of tank at fill valve gasket. Had to remove tank and found gasket was not centered on hole (from factory) and therefore Leaking. The styrofoam they line tank with was impeding the fill valve and gasket from centering in the whole and not making a seal. They need to not have foam in this corner of tank in order for assemblers to assure fill valve and gasket get centered before tightening.
